Allergy-Free Tomorrow

Allergies can be commonly found in children, especially skin allergies, which cause painful red rashes and inflammation all over the body. However, not everybody is able to access proper medical health or afford skincare products. Furthermore, many children lack knowledge regarding health, leading to unhealthy lifestyle habits that damage their body.

My name is Napat Sakdibhornssup (Eclair), a high school senior with a goal to help alleviate health inequality in Thailand. Ever since I was a child, I suffered from countless health diseases - whether it was allergies, asthma, or scoliosis, my daily life was always limited by my health conditions. However, as I started to volunteer at various communities throughout Thailand, I came to the realization that I was, in fact, extremely privileged: even though I could not eat certain foods and had rashes or respiratory problems at times, I was always able to access quality medical care. Thousands of children in the country lack the necessary resources to take care of their health and have no hope for the medical help they desperately require. Because of this, I aim to make a contribution to improve the quality of life for kids throughout Thailand.

As I grew up with skin allergies, I always relied on skincare products to heal my rashes and strengthen my skin barrier. However, these skincare products, especially creams targeted for sensitive skin, are relatively pricey, thus they aren’t affordable for everyone. Because of this, I’ve strived to formulate a cream product and donate it to various communities, as part of the effort to reduce health inequality in Thailand.

Allergy-Free Tomorrow will produce creams for sensitive skin, and donate them to a variety of communities, from hospitals, to clinics, to churches, to slums. The cream itself has been approved by the Thai FDA, and is specifically formulated for sensitive and allergy-prone skin, soothing the skin through active ingredients such as 2% Defensil, 2% D-Panthenol and Centella Asiatica (CICA) extract, moisturizing the skin and strengthening the skin barrier. Moreover, we will host informational sessions for children at the Construction of Hope Foundation, educating them on allergies and general health through interactive activities, in hopes of inspiring them to lead a healthier lifestyle.

For every 500 baht donated, “Allergy-Free Tomorrow” will send 3 tubes to communities in need, and 1 tube to the donor. If the donor decides to not receive the cream, the additional tube will also be sent to the community.

For donors who choose to not receive the cream, "Allergy-Free Tomorrow" will send the tube to the community in need

Process

• Allergy-Free Tomorrow will start manufacturing ‘Claire’s Choice’ cream
• Allergy-Free Tomorrow will start contacting various communities (e.g. hospitals, clinics, churches, slums, foundations) about donating the cream product
• Allergy-Free Tomorrow will host informational sessions at the Construction of Hope Foundation, educating children on general health and allergies, with the goal of helping them lead a healthier lifestyle.
