Help Nepali girls flood victims with sanitary napkins & health!
Flood in the South of Nepal davasted a very large areas and disproportionally affecting poor women and girls. We are trying to help those adolescent girls in poverty with reliefs, particularly in hygienic products such as sanatary napkins that are critically needed for personal and communal health purposes.

A very short report of what happened with the funds for the flood.
The funds were divided into 2 and send to 2 most flood effected area, one was Chitwan, where KGG group is working with lots of women entrepreneurs and girls. They were sent, 100 sanitary napkins, 100 underwear, 100 note books and 100 pencil box.
Then another box was send to Biratnaghar, Morong, where Jebhan bikash samaj, were working very closely with hundred of girls there. They were given 500 pieces of box, napkins and notebooks as well.
The southern belt of Nepal is currently facing the worst flooding in a decade. Heavy downpours have led to severe floods and landslides in the most fertile ‘terai’ belt. In the last two weeks since Friday, August 11, severe floods have taken over 150 lives, left over 45000 homes submerged, over 60,000 persons still displaced, farmlands damaged, crops washed away, and cut off villages, making even relief operations extremely difficult. The affected districts are among the 25 districts in Nepal with the lowest HDI rating, and the economic losses are bound to aggravate poverty among the affected households.
While relief operations are ongoing, and several forces have come together to help to provide food, temporary shelters, cash relief, etc., water and sanitation are two of the gravest problems still affecting people’s health, risking lives, and thus, in need of more intervention. Among those affected, women, girls and infants are the most affected due to lack of hygiene and nutrition.
While we are already highly engaged in curative activities, providing health and sanitation related mobile service camps, cleaning damaged houses, providing food and essential relief to the affected, funds raised through this initiative will specifically support adolescent girls with hygiene products, and support their families with other basic requirements. We aim to reach out to adolescent girls and their families across Terai region in the South of Nepal.

- Undergarments
- Solar lights
- Water filters, purifiers
- Books, stationeries, bags, school uniforms, etc.
