The Mee Kin Mee Chai community enterprise in Buriram has changed the idea of chemical farming to organic farming to reduce a cost and make a profit. In addition, farmers also have good health as they stop using chemical substance and fertilizer. All the members of this community do everything by themselves from harvesting to removing the chaff ,and then to processing rice such as Hang organic rice, brown organic rice, and brown organic rice drink.   

Organic farming is not only just a technique but also a societal process that everybody is working together. In the past, farmers had a lot of debt as they used expensive chemical substance and fertilizer. Some farmers sold all of their rice to a rice mill and bought it from other. This was a circle of farming in every season back then.  

Now, this group has created a community enterprise by gathering 36 farmers in the Satuk district and set a standard of organic farming. This project has changed the ideas of chemical farming to low cost organic farming, and farmers also have good health because of non-chemical rice. The members of this project grow rice, remove the chaff of grains of rice, posses rice in a good package, and sell it in a community such as Hang organic rice, brown organic rice, and brown organic rice drink. Furthermore, most members also have a high antioxidant, which is good for eyesight and prevent them form diabetes mellitus and colorectal cancer.
