This project is aimed at urging kids to learn more about sharing to other under privileged kids. Without asking money from their parents, the kids will learn on how to earn money through working, volunteering, and planning as much as they can. Their parents will play a supporting role.
The main activity of this project is to open a Lemonade Stand at a K Village Street Market event, starting from 17 – 19 October 2557. All the amount form selling will be used to buy equipment to support schools in remote areas. In addition, after the event, the kids will make a decision on how to allocate money if they cannot reach their financial target.
There are a few schools contacted us to receive helps
1. Ban Jod School (Tawe Suranari Anousorn 4) Neung Huew Fan district, Kam sa-Kang Sang, Nakhon Ratchasima
Headmaster Piyaporn Peungcokseung says: “We had a Ponglarn band that was very famous and unique. Although a conductor left, we want to continue the band as some students can still play and our alumni can also teach other kids. What we have now are a set of drum and a few dresses but we lack a lot of musical instruments. In addition, this band needs more than 20 people from grade 3-6.” We will do our best to get your band back on track again.
(Fundraising target 20,000 Baht)
2. Ban Don Makok school Moo2, Prasong distract, Ta Chana, Surat Thani.
Ramita Cheunpisarn says: “We are pleased to receive every kind of books by donation as we just finished renovating our library. We still need a lot of books. Our school is open for students from kindergarten (grade 1) – primary school (grade 6). We also attach some of our library’s pictures. Thank you very much.”
Anyone who has proper books for kindergarten and primary school students can send directly to Manita Cheunpisarn, Barn Madork Moo2, Prasong district, Ta Chana, Surat Thani 84170 or drop off at a Lemonade Stand.
Our team will collect and find more books for students after the project.
(Fundraising target 5,000 Baht)
3. Kokku School, Nonndang district, Mahasarakham
We do not have any instructional media and other equipment for students in kindergarten and primary schools and also money to support teachers. A Lemonade Stand project may not be able to hire teachers (5,000/month) because it is a long-term commitment but we are pleased to support instructional media.
Anyone who wants to support this school can give it to us at the stand, 17-19 October, and we will find more. Some of our income will cover a delivery cost.
(Fundraising target 5,000 Baht)
