ที่มา/ความสำคัญโครงการ :
During the flood crisis, we got a chance to work with elders at an immigration center, realizing that several elders suffering from deteriorating health still needed to work otherwise they would not have money to cover their expenses - as they did not have saving money and had debts. Even thought, foot care is very important for the rest of people’s lives, healthy footwear price in a market is too expensive for low-income elders. With these reasons, we have a great inspiration to make healthy footwear with a lower price for elders to have better lives.
A few problems can happen because typical footwear is not designed for elders that could have negative impacts in a long term such as they could have an accident from slipping and suffer from a disability; get a wound as footwear pinches their feet; and suffer from flat feet as they get older. Moreover, elders tend to take a longer time for recovering than youths.
Many elders do not realize negative health affects from worn shoes.
Talked to elders to design proper footwear for their daily lives.

กิจกรรมที่จะดำเนินโครงการ :
Produce and deliver healthy footwear to 30 elders who are still working and desperately need it.
This healthy footwear is made from hevea brasiliensis which is very comfortable, flexible, stable, and easy to get dry and also has soft lining and heel strap for adjusting sizes. The foot head is lifted and designed as an open toe slipper to protect foot and has enough space for people suffering from a bunion.
