“FUK FUN FEST” – TO MEET YOUR OWN PASSION FOR FUTURE CAREERS, LET’S START HERE!

Origin/importance of the project :

I would like to be a doctor.

I would like to be a movie director.

I would like to be an advertiser. 

Which subjects do you like most? Which kind of works are you going to meet in your future careers? Without any specific information about careers and without knowing their own preferences, Thai teens tend to find it difficult for them to choose the program in their high school. Since in Thai education, students about 14-18 years old in high school have to select programs: Math-Science, Math, or Languages based on their preferences in various subjects, they should discover their preferences and potential as soon as they can so that they can study in the fields and subjects they love without feeling depressed later on. Also, these programs have huge effects on them in case they want to further more study in universities. They may never get chance to study what they want if they select the wrong program so the students should be very certain about what they are getting themselves into.

To avoid this problem, we invite you to help these students find the resolutions by spreading the essential information about careers to them, and by inspiring them to pay attention more about their future and targets in livings.

FukFun Festival was inspired by the tutor festivals and study exhibitions in Thailand.

Although we have got so many exhibition and festival in Thailand, never once we have the festival that provide students with the guidelines for future careers and self-realization, FukFun Festival, then, makes it happen. A-Chieve, the producer, decided to make FukFun Festival the first and most gigantic festival provided for students in Thailand to have fun, find passion, and targets for their future careers. FukFun Festival will be the gateway to encourage Thai students to search for their dreams, passion, and ability.

By doing so, FukFun Festival will be the start point for Thai students to search for their own potential and their interests in future careers. These will help them to join in the other activities about jobs and to study by themselves in the future.

Project benefits :

• More than 5,000 highschool students from all over Thailand will be provided opportunities to talk with the real workers from more than 60 careers based on their own interests.
• FukFun Festival will help build the connections among workers who generously and continuously provide students with information about their jobs (by the activities a-chieve will be held throughout the year and by students' self-learning.) for more information about a-chieve please visit www.a-chieve.org
• FukFun Festival will be developed as a model for the job informational activities which are not only arranged for the students but are arranged for the workers to share the experiences and knowledge. And FukFun Festival will continue to cover more and more areas in Thailand to get people from as various jobs as possible.
• All of the job information provided by lecturers will be used to create the online database for students' self-learning and the instructional media in Guideline subject provided in schools through www.a-chieve.org/information  

Activities to carry out the project :

In FukFun Festival, there will be the actual workers who come to participate in the festival for more than 60 different careers from different organizations. Through the festival, they will provide the students with the information of their jobs, and the experiences from working. The students will get to expand their attitudes and knowledge towards various kinds of jobs. Also, they will learn how to find their own potential and preferences.

This is our second time to arrange this festival. The target is to get the high school students in Thailand around 5,000-10,000 to participate in the festival. Special speech will be hosted by the lecturers from the different careers who are willingly to share their experiences. The activities in the festival are included: 

1. Special talks from 6 different job lecturers (the first 3 persons in the first half of the day and the other 3 in the last half.) The talk will help inspiring the students to find out about their potential and preferences in studies and jobs.
2. The 18 small lecture rooms for 70-200 people are arranged for those who want to talk with the workers about the information and experiences. Also, the workshop of the needed skills in the particular job are available for students to get chance to try working for real.
3. The digital learning zone is provided for the students to learn and do the activities about the jobs they are interested by using instructional media and by sharing the opinions among the students.

A-chieve team “Enjoy your career, enjoy your life” is a non-profit organization. Our purposes are to encourage people to explore their own potential, do what the love, and share their happiness with society. Our duties are to create new strategies and activities to meet the students’ need of job information, to provide them tips: how to find your own preferences, and to encourage self-study learning. For example, we have done Job shadow, Open world, Online Job Database. We aim to develop the Guideline subject and the Educational system in Thailand to be more efficient.
