Finally, Tragultiva family and Teajai’s dream came true when we were able to deliver a chair to Bas on 2 May 2013 at the Deva House, Nonthaburi. Everybody, including Bas’s mother, was glad to make it happen.
“We are very happy. We haven’t thought before that we would get a lot of support like this. Otherwise, we would not have had this chair. We thank you for all of your support. Basically, at home, Bas pretty much sleeps all the time except his meal time, but now we can easily give him food and water.”
Before recieve a chair
“Sister had applied a plastic chair for bas to use, but it did not work as he fell. At the Deva House, he has a lot of friends and physical therapy to exercise his muscle. Unfortunately, he could not take care himself because he has a lot of congenital diseases such as gastrointestinal tract diseases, tiroide, hernia, and pneumonia. In addition, his brain also did not have much enough oxygen when he was born.”
Bas’s future (What do you expect from him)
“I want Bas to be able to take care himself because we are not so rich. Without me, he has to do things by himself, and I do not want to leave him alone. I think we are like everybody that we want to see our son has a future and lives by himself.”
141 chair (how hard was it)
“We spent a lot of time, developing this chair. We measured the chair two times to get a perfect fit. On the other hand, the process of production did not consume much time. With a thick cushion, the chair that we made can be sat by many people and adjusted. In addition, because Bas suffers from scoliosis, a strong table is very useful to keep him up.”
Future plan
“Right now the Deva house needs three chairs. But because the cost is very expensive, we still need your support.”
