Every day, new cases are reported of missing persons. Every day, unidentified bodies are found in various locations. Many families continue the painful wait for loved ones. The Mirror Foundation is actively working to locate missing persons—publishing announcements, coordinating efforts, and carrying out searches; some people have returned home. On the other side, tracking missing persons also requires collecting DNA from unidentified bodies and from their families to compare and establish whether the missing person is the same as the body.
