มานาทิพย์ ณ เชียงใหม่Donations for the project will buy three meals a day for a full year to abandoned and abused48childrens
To assist 48 abandoned and abused children by purchasing food (rice, meat, and fruit) for a period of one year, totaling 1,095 meals. This provision will run from January to December 2026, ensuring that the children receive three complete, nutritious meals a day throughout the year to support their growth and maintain good health
"Baan Waanjai (The Trusting Shelter) has been continuously assisting poor, at-risk, and abused children since 2010. Mr. Rittha Phongchittikorn and his wife oversee the shelter. Currently, the shelter lacks a main sponsor to cover essential costs, including tuition, food, water, and electricity. The facility is housed in a dormitory building, the land for which was previously donated by a benefactor. The financial burden of caring for these children has, therefore, always been a struggle for the caretakers.
The primary factor in caring for the children is food costs. The caretakers have managed with two sources of income:
Small, intermittent donations from some of the children's parents.
Occasional donations from acquaintances.
Consequently, rice and meat are extremely vital staples for every child here.
Over the past three years (2023–2025), the shelter has received significant food and meat support through donations facilitated by the Taejai platform. This support has allowed the children to feel secure about their meals and fully focus on their education. Donating through Taejai remains the single primary channel sustaining every child here. Before this, both the children and the caretakers were constantly worried and often had to borrow money from acquaintances to cover food costs, as well as run small efforts like planting vegetable patches and selling coffee to sustain the shelter day by day."
The Need for 2026 Fundraising:
"The fundraising goal to secure three meals a day for the year 2026 is crucial for the increasing number of children at the shelter. A total of 48 children—including the existing residents—have been selected to reside at Baan Waanjai to ensure they complete their basic education up to Mathayom 6 (Grade 12). For many years, the caretakers have attempted to register the facility as a foundation, but various factors—such as capital for building additions, registration funds, staff, and a core sponsor—have made it impossible. Thus, the Taejai platform remains the essential fundraising space for the children in this home."
The food purchasing for a period of one year (rice, meat, and fruit) will be executed by purchasing 5 sacks of rice per month. The meat will be purchased on a rotating basis, including pork, chicken, and fish each month, along with seasonal fruits.
