Fund Utilization Plan
The net amount of 17,838.18 THB received from the “Unspoken Souls Public Fundraiser” project will be used in line with the original objective of the project, namely to support the screening and post-production of the short version of the documentary film “Unspoken Souls.”
This budget will be used for necessary post-production expenses for the short version, such as file preparation, subtitle preparation, and other technical processes required for public screening and distribution.
As the actual amount received is limited, the project will prioritize the most necessary and urgent components in order to move forward with the completion and public dissemination of the short version in a concrete and effective manner.
Operational Plan
After receiving the support funds, the team will proceed with tasks related to the post-production of the short version of the documentary film “Unspoken Souls.” The operational plan is as follows:
1. Prepare the materials and files necessary for the short version.
2. Carry out subtitle work and technical processes related to distribution.
3. Prepare the short version for public dissemination and screening activities.
4. Coordinate communication and presentation efforts to reach the target audience.
These activities aim to support the effective public dissemination of the short version and help raise awareness about the welfare of Thai elephants through this documentary.
Message of Thanks to Donors
The team of the “Unspoken Souls Public Fundraiser” project would like to express our deepest gratitude to all donors for supporting this project.
Your support is highly meaningful in helping us move forward with the post-production and public dissemination of the short version of the documentary film “Unspoken Souls,” so that its story can contribute to raising awareness of Thai elephants and their welfare in the wider society.
Thank you very much for your trust and encouragement.
In late June, 2025, our Co-Director & Producer, Koh, travelled to the UK to attend Sheffield Docfest (the world's 3rd largest documentary festival) to pitch our film to festival programmers and top industry agents. In just four days, he held around 20 productive meetings and received immensely positive feedback that highlighted the film’s global potential.
KEY OUTCOME: Partnership with First Hand Films
The most significant outcome was securing a partnership with the award-winning Swiss-German company First Hand Films. Koh pitched directly to CEO Esther van Messel, an industry veteran whose company has produced and distributed numerous award-winning and Oscar-nominated films at leading festivals (Sundance, Berlinale, Cannes, Venice, Toronto). Impressed by our trailer and pitch, she quickly reconnected, and after follow-up discussions in Thailand in July and August, the partnership was finalized.
Through their extensive global network, First Hand Films will help distribute our documentary in 2026. Follow us on Facebook & IG for more updates!
