Donations for the project will Restore, Heal, and Support to Elephant Camps After the Major Floods Chiang Mai5areas
After the major flooding event in Chiang Mai Province in early October 2024, many elephant camps were severely impacted. Elephant shelters were destroyed, feeding grounds were damaged, and the elephants had to be relocated to higher ground, causing the suspension of all activities during that time. For more than a week, operations came to a standstill due to the severe conditions.
The foundation dispatched a team to inspect and assess the damage to elephant camps in the Mae Taeng District, which suffered significant destruction. Initial aid was promptly provided, and the foundation launched the project titled "Rehabilitation, Relief, and Recovery for Small Elephant Camps After the Major Flood in Chiang Mai" to ensure the elephants could return to a safe and happy environment in the future.
